Keep the ideas coming!!

Thanks a lot guys

Ed,

Any way in hell you can tell me the exact depth of your switch in that picture?

Maybe I should explain the exact dimensions I'm working with.

The backboard is wide open 8 foot high x 42 inches wide.

The closet is 10 foot high x 42 inches wide x 25 inches deep.

I wonder if I can a swing out rack that is not 20 inches deep like the one I had planned on using?

With only 25 inches of depth in the room I would probably mount the patch panels on the swing brackets mentioned already and mount the switch vertically using one of these: Chatsworth Wall Bracket

I've never seen them before. I know a situation or two that I could have used 'em.

Yeah, those are very nice. Did an install in December, we had the 5000 and the digital expansion unit, which is 2 rackmount units. Mounted them flat to the wall with the Unibracket.

Take a look at This from Middle Atlantic.

The biggest is a 4U configuration, it would be a tight fit. You could Skip the cable manager, and use 1' Patch cords.

Hey Jeff,

My only concern is the termination. That thing has no hinge and doesn't swing. Or does it?

Otherwise I'm sold.

I found an Ortronics Part # 1921T12DB

21" H x 19.75" W x 12" D

138.80 from Graybar here in Orlando.

We'll see what it looks like.

No, it is a fixed unit. You have to mount them to the wall.
