If this is a floor in a commercial building and it is not on grade just drill through, run your wiring below and install a floor box.

I have plenty of pics for the transitions and those !%@%# boxes they rest in. If I can dig them up here with out too much hastle I will post a few too.

Sam is right, which is the main reason SA will not allow under carpet any longer. Right now they are saw cutting the cement for conduits at or current Sprint.

Jeff, have you made certain that this is stretched
with tack strips around the perimeter?
Most commercial carpeting over concrete is glued.

I sure wish they would do that in Florida, we are going back next week to terminate the ribbon cables at 2 Sprint stores in the Tampa Bay area.

exactly those little things called tack strips, hahahahaha. and even then after a bit and people walking the wire will start to show thru the carpet a little and you should be able to feel it if you step on it. to me its the equivalent of when bell atlantic would use a asphalt saw to cut a slit in the road to place a 2pair bsw to a home to avoid boring the road and fill it with tar roofing caulk. after 5-10 years the drop works its way up, serv techs swap and split bsw pairs till there aint nothin left and throw it to the dig crew. shoddy work at best, i would try any other avenue possible my friend.
