Did the Leviton products work for you? Even if they don't have the brown inserts, you could probably get away with black ones in a brown plate. Many electrical supply houses carry Leviton products.

There are still some high end houses in this area Hal that have the custom picture frame paneling done for dens, studies and libraries. They integrate it in with the bookshelves.
I guess they must be even higher end around here. Brass is the norm in those cases.

Tell me about it...in one of our meeting rooms at the Student Union, all of our electrical and microphone wallplates are brass. This is the room the board of trustees meets in
