I use cable lube quite a bit running through conduits. It lessens the chance on "burning" the existing cabling that may be inside already. I heard not to use Yellow 77 as it may degrade the jacket on the cabling. The vacuum with a mouse has saved me quite a few times.

We use a Sharpie Marker to mark our cables and found that Yellow 77 takes the marker off of cable just like marker remover, while Clear Glide doesn't affect it. Plus, for some stupid reason, I just think Clear Glide isn't as "messy" as Yellow 77.

When pulling cable in a building with triangulated trusses, pull in the valleys - the wire will not get caught as easily that way, especially around corners.
Also, taking a bit of extra time to set up a perfect pull line pays off with easier pulls.
Noisycow, I see what you mean. It always seems to be one cable hung up, not an entire bundle.
Properly taping cables is paramount as well. Ugly tape jobs mean harsh pulls, more snags and even 'lost' cables.

The question is more important than the answer.
