I don't know what these jacks are called.

I believe that AT&T used to make them. I've never actually installed them new but have seen them in older installations.

The faceplate has a rectangle cut out and the jacks are side by side. Most common is

like this

_________

---------
] X X [
---------
---------
] X X [
---------
__________

( I tried to post a pic but it didn't work so forgive the drawing)

Anyway where X = port

and the -------- = the module that is removed and the 2 jacks are all one unit

][ is where the insert is keyed to pop it out of the faceplate.

Anyway, I need to know if any one makes a cat6 10g jack in this style!?

Thanks

Corwyn

Try Ortronics. I've used their side-by-side cat5e jacks in Wiremold before.

ETA: Are you looking for something like this ?

Yes, guys thank you that is the style.

You may have better luck looking for Cat6a jacks/inserts.

I doubt any of that old stuff is CAT 6 or even CAT5e compliant. Why do you want that kind of jack anyway?

Plenty of 4 port single gang plates and keystone jacks out there that are compliant and will get you a similar look. Why kill yourself?

Those were AMP branded. They came out about 15 years ago, you could slip in different inserts to meet the desired configuration without rewiring. 2 x 10bt, Cat5, 2 x rj14, etc.
