I have an IDS 42 system configured 4x8 which is spontaneously resetting. People get cut off if it decides to reset during a call. I haven't noticed any pattern, sometimes it will go a week or so just fine but then reset all of a sudden and do it again 5 minutes later. Looking on a display phone when it happens, the normal lamp and LCD initialization sequence occurs and the system comes right back.
I have the cover off of the KSU to help cool the power supply but that doesen't help. I took off some stations to loosen the load but no go. Is there a problem with the station wiring or is the system falling apart? Don't be afraid to be technical.
Thanks. -Drew

It almost sounds like you have a power supply trying to die or the power source is not giveing you even power. Is the system on a UPS?

That system hates brown-outs. Did this problem just start happening? or was something changed (loaction of sytem, phones added, etc.)? The more information you provide the better our answer could be.
Thank You and God Luck!!
If all else fails, use a BFH.
