Yes. It would be nice if it would work without cutting or disconnecting the cable.

Bob

With all the variables involved, I am amazed when any voice and data technology works like it is supposed to.

naaaaaaah...... I'll just re-fish the cable.

OH this is great.... I went into one of the rooms and the wall plate wasn't there. There was only an RJ11 jack sitting in a hole in the wall. Further, someone had run a cat5 cable to the hole and two of the pairs were used: one for that room and one for the next door neighbor. The reason I was in that room was because they didn't know if they even had a phone jack. Well, there is a jack there but no tone! I couldn't get to the outside to figure out why that was because the area just on the other side of the wall is a maintenance yard for the cities' streets. Good thing they have a key to that yard but I had to go because it was getting late and just about to rain.

oh yeah.... I forgot to tell you all that that job had to be cancelled. The owner was too cheap to except my cheap price (20 dollars an outlet). Or was I wrong in thinking that is a cheap price? The owner wanted to pay me 200 dollars to fix 20ish phones.
