Has anyone used these on damaged CAT6 and if so will it certify? Here\'s a link I've got a location I just wired and the guys hanging the wire for the suspended ceiling cut one. I'm going to replace it, but was wondering for future reference. Thanks

It creates the equivalent of an additional segment in the run, so by standards, the answer would be no. Will it pass certification? Yes.
I've used the CAT5/5E equivalent many times and have never had any issues.

Thanks Ed I didn't know if they'd pass the more stringent requirements for CAT6.
I think I'll still replace where I can, but would be handy to have a few around for those impossible pulls.

Thanks Skip, think I'll do the same and get a couple to keep on my truck.

Amazon has a great price for these made by SF cable. I bought 16 cat5es for 50 bucks including shipping.

CMH has them pretty cheap also can't remember the exact price, but with my discount they were very reasonable. I need a few other things and their prices aren't bad.

I've used Scotchlock UR2's in a pinch when no other alternative was available. Seems to work fine.
