I have installed lots of cable as well as test and certify it with Agilant tester. Beldon trainers are coming to town for training in copper and fiber. If I were to get certified, how does that benefit me? Perhaps I can bid on contracts that requires a certified technician/owner?

I have almost no fiber training. So, what would be the best advantage to me to get certified in?

Well you've pretty much answered your own question "I have almost no fiber training"

In order to qualify Belden installation you have to be a Belden dealer. Just taking a class does not mean you can take advantage of the dealer benefits. However, since you said you have almost no fiber training then Id expect you'd be jumping at the opportunity t pick up some knowledge. While your there take a good look at the Belden FiberExpress connectors. I had a chance to try them a few weeks ago and were very impressed by them. We normally use Corning but were going to try these out on a few installs.

I'd recommend Leviton as brand to get certification with. Their fibre connectors are incredibly easy to use and don't require a special tool. Just make sure you buy a good cleaver!

I have been through the Belden Training. Very Good. I think it was even better then the BICSI training I went through.
