First, you need programming sheets for this system. Find the feature you want to activate and the extension you want to activate it on.
The system is programmed by flipping a switch on the CPU. There are LEDS on the CPU that lightup and a two-didget display that tells you where you are at in programming. When programming no calls go in or out of system. After programming, return switch for normal operation, and then press the reset button on the CPU to lock in all programming.
Good Luck!!
If all else fails, use a BFH.

JJ, This sounds like an onsite job for a tech. Could a computer guy be coached through this by you via phone or is that too much to ask?

I would have to find my manual. It has been a few years since I have done any programming on th Encore system. Executone discontinued system in the "90's". If you had a manual with the programming procudures, it ill all make sence on how to do. The only thing not in the manual is to reset after programming. I learned that the hard way.
Good Luck!!
If all else fails, use a BFH.

Executone Encore 616 is the original version. With the 616 you DO NOT have ringing line answer at all. If you have the Encore 616 Plus CPU, you have ringing line answer. This system is so old that unless you use the GN Netcom Remote Handset lifter with their wireless units, I don't think that you will make this customer happy because the handset has to be lifted or the SPR/MONT button depress. I hope this helps and good luck. By the way, this system isn't hard to program, it's just very manual but a tech can walk you through the steps to program it.

Sorry! I just noticed that you want to use the lifter with the telephone. I just registered today and am new to this! Anyway, if you have the Plus CPU, you'll be in good shape!
