I had the data port associated with an Operator terminal lock up on a customer. I had to move the port physicaly from port 3 to port 4 which been by the switch for programming. I reprogrammed port 4 to be associated with the IOT and got them back up and running. My question is there any way to reset the locked up serial port? The terminal associated with the operator works fine and the customer says that the just hit the release key and it locked up. They really only use it to change night mode there is no one using it other than to look at the acd screen occasionally.

Another question related to this, the terminals are old and burnt in and the brightness has faded so that you can barely see the background or unhilighted info. To top it off the terminal by the switch the oter day didn't survive a power up and is dead. This company used to used an old unix server with terminals before going to a windows server. The have severl wyse 50 terminals in storage. My question is since the IOT terminals look like a wyse 50 is it possible to replace it with a 50 or is it to propritary?

TIA,
Kerry

I've had a port lock up on me before.Usually I go into the B screen and set the port installed to N then reinstall it.Then you have to go back in to operator programming and reassign the port to be an operator if you are using it as an operator screen.
The screens they are using are actually Wyse 60 but they have an Executone eprom in them and a board that converts RS-422 to RS-232.
