I need a NEC tech in Central Florida to help me upgrade an IPK from t1 trunks to PRI, and with the NEC side of integrating an asterisk system.

You might be able to do this without coming onsite - I have the IPK SAT software and can email you the data files, or give you remote access to the computer which is connected to the IPK system.

I need your help determining the best configuration. I would be happy to post what I want to do in the NEC forum for open discussion once I know there's someone available to reprogram the NEC for me.

I could help with the T1 to PRI change, we do those all the time. But I am not sure about the asterisk integration, sounds like an accident waiting to happen. What sort of integration?

DrPbx - I would like to leave the T1 card in the system, set it up as tie lines to pass calls back and forth to an asterisk box. Our current system uses extensions in the 1xx and 2xx range as CARs, and the voicemail ports and stations are 3xx.

I'd like to add a block of extensions in the 5xx range for SIP clients that connect to asterisk - all I need the IPK to do is send any call to a 5xx extension over the tie lines to asterisk (and I can handle routing from there).

I also need the IPK to pick up and route calls from asterisk, either to the outside world over our new PRI or to a local station.

If the asterisk part is too complicated, I can skip it for now - priority one is to get this thing set up to talk to the outside world with a PRI card before our 8/11 cutover.

Do you have someone local, or could you do this via remote access to a computer running the SAT software?
