Any programming required to add a 3rd line, or will it work ok with default settings? If needed, what is the default PW?

If system is in default programming. Just add line and it will ring first 6 extensions.

If all else fails, use a BFH.

There are ten phones, so guess I need to get into programming and change a setting?
Also, while in programming, can I renumber the extentions?
Thanks

Yes if you need all the phones to ring then you will have to get into the A screen programming. To change extension numbers access the F screen.

No if it's just a display phone. You need an operator's terminal (which is a screen and keyboard) or a pc connected to the serial port or you can dial in to the system modem from an off site pc.

OK,
I've got a laptop here with a modem onboard.
I have hyperterminal but I think this requires procomm to get into programming?

Do a search of this forum for the Procom Plus settings to get in. Hyperterminal does not work well on the IDS. It is a question that has been addressed many times.
