We have Avaya in one office and ESI in another. The ESI is IVX E-Class.
On one phone only the voicemail notifcation light does not work properly. For example yesterday a message was left at 1:10 pm and the light did not come on until 3:45 pm. This has been happening a lot. How do I fix this?

any help would be greatly appreciated

I would suggest contacting an authorized dealer in your area. This sounds like either an invalid message count, corrupted hard drive, or hard drive showing signs of going out. In any of those cases, an authorized dealer would need to contact ESI tech support to help make this determination.

Another possibility is that the clock is incorrect, and the date and time stamp on the message was also incorrect, making you think the message lit the light late.

Since the VM is integrated into the IVX your time stamp is not the problem. Check your current software. Is this a E gen 1 or 2. If its Gen 1 you should be running software version 1.5.20 if you are not then before you update software you need to upload version 1.5.17 prior to 1.5.20. A lot of bugs were found in anything prior to 1.5.20 and another release of 1.2.23 is due out soon.

If you have a E gen 2 you should be running 2.5.0

Only authorized dealers have access to software. They can either load it or have ESI tech support load it.

Most fixs on these small glorious IVX systems are fixed via software. BTW... the E class has been plagued with low conf. volume and the fix for that is 1.5.23 due out soon.

hope this helps

Invalid message count has been an ongoing all-too-frequent issue that can affect just about every ESI system. There is no cure other than complete system re-initialization. On small systems, it is less of a pain than on larger systems. You cannot back up system data, install a new HDD, and then reload. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it drives customers and resellers crazy.
And it doesn't matter what revision software you install, ESI hasn't yet figured it out how it occurs. They can tell you remotely if it is there. Good luck
