Does anyone know if you can program the C-Class phone system to not forward calls to voice mail when left on hold more than 1 minute??? We use the phone system in a TV station and we have several call-in programs that tie the lines up and when they are waiting to get on the air, sometimes they are on hold for quite a while, but this system sends them to voice mail if they are there for more than 1 or 2 minutes. I was just wondering if this was possible.

Thanks,

I think you can set the "hold recall timer" to 960 secs. Then it will go to voice mail. In your voice mail box you could then have a greeting that says what you want, i.e. If you wish to continue holding press "0", that will take them back to the operators phone. What you need to do is upgrade to a 72e and use the ACD. That would be great for this application.

You need to set the hold recall timer - function 1 - 5 to it's maximum setting.

72E is a larger system then your C class with more capability.

You can find hold timer in Function 153.
