update on problem and solution
did the digital voice mail routine. that did not work. found the jack to the analog line went in via *station number and went to the voice mail program deleted the recycle bin. blinking lite is history.

If you want to stop getting messages on that analog extension. From any digital phone, press program, *, analog ext #, then 1, 1, #, record a greeting, then delete the greeting and confirm deletion. This will disable the mailbox for that analog extension.
