Norvergence casualty here - ESI S-Class, 48-key. Weonly have two CO lines, but there are still CO1-4 on our system.
Night Mode, "7" will get CO2, "8" gets "that line group is not valid", and "9" gets CO4.
Day "7" gets CO4, "8" "that line group is not valid", and "9" gets CO3.
I put CO4 & CO3 into group 8 - no change!
Deleted CO3&4, no change. Night is fine, Day requires one handset to have CO4 on speakerphone so that "7" will get CO1, but "9" still gets CO3.
Any ideas???

I am adding this:
I was considering switching the actual copper line configuration on the punchblock; actual CO1 & CO2 to the CO3 & CO4 positions, but have no idea what damage that may incur.

Sounds like your system is in night mode if the line group programming changes are having no effect. In the S-class the line groups can be programmed seperately for night mode. Programming a line for group "0" will take it out of all groups.

If all fails, program the unwanted lines as incomming only. This should put an end to your problems.

If it still aint workin' set all lines to incomming only. Exit programming and rebuild your line groups.

don't forget, if you put lines in group 8 the extension need to be allowed access to line group 8 also.

I didn't know that programming it as "0" would take it out of all groups. I just always used Hold. That's good to know. Thanks!

Tried all above nothing worked. broke down and had ESI access the system remotely. Turns out we neded to re-do button mapping. Lines 1&2 were switched with 3&4 by a previous emplyee who decided to try and "program" her phone with speed dials and other features!!!
All good now - next time this comes up, I would suggest troubleshooting button-mapping to rule that out.

Thanks for all your replies!
