I am having two problems with an Infostar VX2. The Infostar is connected to an Execution ACPU with options 648, VMS and VMI. Two 648 systems are sharing the Infostar. First, the Infostar is not allowing users into their mailbox. The system prompts for a password but disconnects after the password has been entered. The run screen indicates that the processor is running. Second, when the Infostar is operating and users can access their mailbox they are complaining that they are not receiving a MWI until several hours after the message was left. It seems that most of the complaints are coming from users in the second system. Where do I start?
Thanks
Tony

Are you running In-band or SMDI?
Sounds like there is a conflict in the run node and integration type.
Good Luck!!
If all else fails, use a BFH.

JJ,
The system is using in-band integration. At least that is the what most of the programming revealed. In the Infostar programming the PBX code is IDS. The MWI Sequence On1 and Sequence off are set as 76 and 77. The run screen shows the run node as EXC. However, I discovered yesterday, while checking out another lockup, that the Infostar has a RS232 connection to port 2 of the Excutone, Port 2 programming had the port activated with the computer field set to Y but the Type was set to 000. I tried to change the settings in both the Executone and Infostar for IDS RS232 integrations following the integration note but when the system rebooted an error message came up stating missing files. I then put everything back to the way it was and I disconnected the DB9 from the back of the Infostar and reset the computer. So now I am waiting to see if the problem reoccurs.

On the IDS if running RS232 the 000 should be set to 99.
It sounds like the VX2 is setup for inband though.
Good Luck!!
