Does anyone have any experiences they could share with VOIP Analog Adapters using SIP and any of the ESI Communications Servers?
We have some rough remote/WAN environments where cordless phones are needed, but won't have too much of a lifetime. I was thinking of getting a SIP Adapter and a plain old cordless so I could replace the unit every now and then, but keep everything else.
Our current installer doesn't have much exposure to SIP so I was wondering if anyone had used products like the Linksys PAP2-NA, Zoom 5801, or similar adapter with the 600.

I haven't tried nor heard of anyone else doing it. I have a customer who has an almost new Cordless Remote IP Phone that they aren't using because they ended up moving the KSU to the location with the cordless and have two digital cordless phones already. PM me if you have any interest.
Time to wipe some egg off my face! I had mentioned on another thread to do with SIP support that SIP endpoint support was still in Beta as late as last month. Well I just checked and it has been available for some time now. It turned out ESI released it without any fanfare (I don't know, maybe they want us to buy ESI phones instead of SIP phones?)
Sorry for the misinformation.
When you purchase a 4 pack of local IP licenses, you can specify (mix and match) whether they are to be for ESI phones softphones, or SIP phones at the time of license activation with tech support.
Fair warning on the use of the Analog Telephone Adapter Zoom 5801 it can cause the system to lock the IVC card requiring a system restart. Plugging it in isn't the problem it's when you call it. Then life gets interesting.
