Does anyone know if an end user has any way of finding out of someone is doing a "Service Observe" on their extension? I don't know if they would be able to hear anything from my extension or if something would come up on their display letting them know that they are being observed. This is nothing urgent, just a question that I had and I don't have 2 phones close enough to each other to really find out myself.

The best way is to call a friend that you have previously talked with (about this). When you think the person is using the service observe start telling yor friend about the surprise party that you have planned for the SO guy. Better yet...well you get the idea. If you talk trash and the guy/girl comes around the cubicle ready to beat you to death, then you can guess he is listening in on you!!!!heheheh
