Customer needs a 3rd mode. Holiday, DAY2 and NIGHT2 won't cut it. Here is what the customer wants:
From 8am to 5pm, ring x100, x101, x102, x103, x104, x105 simultaneously. From 5pm to 9pm, ring x110, x111, x112, x113, x114 simultaneously. From 9pm to 8am, play ID1 greeting.
Since 3 modes are out of the picture, what can we do?
Thanks, Kevin

Program day mode to begin at 8am and night mode to begin at 9pm.
Create group 290 to include x110,x111,x112,x113 & x114 as an all call.
At 5pm x100,x101,x102,x103,x104 & x105 CFWD to 290!
Next morning they cancel the CFWD!
DONE!!!!

Steve - Alright, you got me on that one. But, the DAY2 and NIGHT2 are just different greetings, and it would be nice to be able to change call routing base on DAY2 and NIGHT2.
John - What happens when x100 through x105 all callforward to 290 and a call comes in? Would the Dept290 phones appear to be getting 6 calls at once (from 100,101,102,103,104,105)? Sounds like it would work, but getting the users to remember to cfwd and cancel it everyday may not be the best solution in their eyes, even if it really is the only solution.
I'll try it out and see what happens.
Thanks, Kevin

Option 2
Leave Day/Night schedule 8-9 as is. Make Dept 290 an ACD Dept containing ALL members. From that point if user is there then they log in, when they leave they log out. The 8-5 gang will get all the calls between 8-5, then the 5-9 gang will get the calls from 5-9.
Then you have the massive problem of the users having to press a button twice a day. If they can't do that then they don't need a job there anyway!
Next we will invent an ESI desk chair with a butt sensor just like some cars have as the seatbelt sensor. When seated they are logged in, when they are outside screwin around they are logged out.
True Presence Management!!!
