We have an ESI 600 that once a week forgets how to get an outbound line. The problem seems to be with outbound LD calls only. We dial the LD number and get a fast busy. We have gone back and forth with the carrier and ESI and no one knows what’s going on. The weird part is if we reboot the ESI 600 when it comes back up everything works great.

So we can’t figure if the carrier drops sometime during the night or weekend and the ESI does not pickup when the carrier is back up or something on the ESI side is just fried.

Also our boot time on the ESI is about 15 minutes.

Any help would be great!

Sorry about that, yes PRI's. We have some copper on another trunk group and it always works fine as a backup.

You can check mailbox 598(T1/PRI Alarm mailbox) to see if the PRI has any alarms

Unfortunatly there were no errors there. I am from the Avaya world and am looking for logs of frame errors and othere counters. Does this system have detailed logs like that?

Yes we can still make local calls. All of our PRI's are through the same carrier and handle in and out/local and LD.
