I am trying to program the SLI interface on the IDS but can't seem to get it right. I want to be able to have the phone that is connect to the 228 connect directly to an outside line when it is picked up. I have set the SLI Dial Option to Y and given the SL Extention access to a few specific lines. When I pick up the receiver all I get is the system DTMF and can't access an outside line. Please help

You need to set prime line either to a particular trunck group or lcr. Depending on your software level 900 works as lcr 901-999 works for trunk groups

If you want the phone to pickup an outside line automatically then you need to set prime line on the station programming screen for that extension to either a direct trunk or a group.Also make sure the extension has the line access also on the station programming screen.
