As Grider mentioned, he's got one that had similar issues that I swear were caused by a faulty digital cordless on the system.... but that was never confirmed.
Confirmation Now Available
I have that cordless and still use it daily at shop. It is no longer connected to the same system where problems occurred and has never caused the described issue.
