I have a client with an ESI Voiceworks VM system(original beige box, not VW16) connected to a Comdial DSU using the DSU integration card that ESI supplied to allow this system to utilize the DSU's digital ports (no ATI-D). The problem is that the VM system appears to have the day of the week set incorrectly. Hence, the system goes into the Sunday night mode schedule on Wednesday. All the manuals say that the date is fixed and cannot be changed. Is this correct or can I reset the date/day? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to obtain a manual on the original Voiceworks without success. I wanted to see the wording on the "fixed" time and date.
Something just doesn't seem to jive on a system using a clock schedule with no way to set the correct time. I'll keep looking.

My manual for voiceworks ver 1.125 says function for time 320, and date function 325.
John,if you like, send me your mailing address and i will send you the manual.
I no longer have a need for it.
Its the BEIGE BOX (VOICEWORKS, not VOICEWORKS 16)

This is straight from the manual, I never worked on this stuff, Is this what you are talking about?
Date and Time PhoneBill's internal clock is maintained by the date and time received from the PBX therefore it never needs to be set. Care should be taken to assure that the time and date on the PBX is always correct. If power outages affect the PBX clock or calendar, be sure to reset the date and time after power loss.

This is from the Voiceworks 16 manual
Function 16: Time and date Overview Time and date need to be programmed to facilitate the time-and-date stamp for messages and also for the automated attendant’s automatic timetables. Important: VoiceWorks16 does not automatically update for regions which observe Daylight Savings Time. However, leap days (quadrennial February 29s) are handled automatically. VoiceWorks16 is fully Year 2000 compliant. Setting range Any valid time and date is allowed. A new time is entered in a twelve-hour format, because VoiceWorks16 allows setting for AM or PM. Default Factory-set time and date (Central time zone).

I think that there's some ongoing confusion here: Date and Time PhoneBill's internal clock is maintained by the date and time received Phone Bill was ESI's stand-alone call accounting system. Voiceworks was their first stand-alone voice mail system. They were two completely different products. Also, the OP is requesting help with the Voiceworks, not the Voiceworks16. They are two completely different systems. I almost wish that they had come up with a different name for the Voiceworks 16 since this confusion happens quite frequently.

Thanks all. Function 325 was the answer though not covered in the installation or admin manual.

Interesting. I just tried 325 on my VoiceWorks here at home and it came back with "invalid entry", but 7325 worked just fine. Mine was only off by about 40 years. Must be a software version issue.
