I'm talking about a standard 128 not the 128 plus.

I have programmed every conceivable way I can think of to get MB302 to take the message and then notify the programmed number. It just won't budge.

Anyone ever have similar complications?

John...one thing that has gotten me a couple of times.....in installer programming there is a setting for number of times to call.....sometimes it is at 0 for some reason.

Phone delay is set to 2 and phone attempts is set to 3. Now over on the pager side set to 0. I'll change basically cause it won't hurt but I don't have confidence in that being a solution.

2 other things I'm gonna try are using greeting 2 instead of 1 and changing the quiet on-quiet off setting.

Keep those cards and letters coming :thumb:

If I recall correctly, notification outdials will seize the highest numbered active line on the system ,even if it's a secondary line group. Make sure all your unused lines are programmed as incoming only.

The greeting has to be #3. Just had the same problem with the water dept here in town that has one. Make sure to set the MB to try 3 times and have the intervals set to 60 sec. Worked for us with no problem.

Good Luck

Well dern it, I wish I could say it went well but it just didn't happen. I'm working with a revision E of the Installer Manual and on page H.4 it shows a number to be programmed preceded by "9" but in the verbiage below it says to enter the desired number without an access code. I do have line group "9" selected in Delivery/paging parameters. Anyway I tried it both ways with and without the preceding "9".

This one has me stumped

I am willing to deliver ESIaccess info over if anyone wants to give it a shot?

John,

Go into the VM box prg * 302 # and enter password. Then go to function 6 and make sure that all parameters are programmed. That is where we had the hitch. Make sure that it is programmed to phone only and the number is entered with no line group access. I will be near that site today and will make sure what I am telling you is 100% correct. They go in every week and change the on call person. I will let you know this afternoon. I see that you had checked the quiet on/off as well. Test it with it wide open all the time, and then you can tweek it once you have it dialing.

Bada Boom Bada Bing

For future reference you can program the heck out of it with Esiaccess but you gotta go into it one time via phone programming a select "1" to activate all that stuff you previously programmed. I don't recall that being needed on S & E-Class systems.

Oh well, thanks Rick and fellow members. Just in time too, customer beginning to get grouchy.

John I just looked at the same manual and I'll give you the reason there is a 9 at the beginning of that number in the table: ESI is in the 214/972/469 area code overlay in Dallas. It's from an unimaginative technical writer. wink
