I have two systems, a 56s and a 100 that occasionaly have a one way talk path on CO lines. It is usually after the customer presses the speed dial button. They just hear silence, but the person they are calling actually answers the call and can hear the person that placed the call. I have recreated it once and actually hear both ways with my test set on directly on the CO, but still do not hear anything on the ESI phone. Anyone else have this problem, or know how to fix it? It is two different systems, but both on the same phone company.

I have had some handset problems here lately where either the user can't hear or the person they call can't hear them , I had the customer unplug the handset from the back of the phone and plug back in and problem clears, this has happened twice this week at different locations.

Sounds like a bug. Is your system software up to date?

I talked to A.J. a couple of days ago and he said I should test the CO lines as outlined in Tech update 179. I do have the current software in both systems and it is a system wide problem so I don't think it's the handsets. Thanks for the help, I'll let you all know the outcome!
