Hey Gang-

We have two 200's linked together, has been running tight for about 6 months now, with no issues-

Over the weekend, powered down to do some maintenance, brought the switch back up, but the IVC card was locked (no link lights on router, solid red on card) Powered down, reseated card, card came back up- 4 IP phones working well, the ESI-Link however is not up- When I dial the remote location code, 701- I hear dial tone phone changes display to Remote, and I see the channels, but when I enter the extension, it says- You have dialed an invalid location number.

I also have an ip phone connected to the other switch, and when I dial 700, I hear dial tone, then I enter the extension, and it rings twice, then I hear: A remote channel at that location is not available.

Thoughts?? Thanks

Did you check all of your IP address and ESI Link related programming to see if it changed? Also make sure the licensing is correct? For whatever reason these settings sometime go back to default in a situation like this.

Obviously the other site is still fine.

Thanks Upstate-

I did check the IP addresses and link related programming- I thought about the licensing- is that something I can check from the ESI-Programmer? I looked at the licensing, but didn't see anything on the ESI-Link?

Thanks

Licenses should show in programming....if not call tech support...they will be able to read what is showing and restore them if needed..they are very good about it.

I logged in via the phone, and it shows ESI-Link Enabled, with 4 max RNC licenses, but 0 used. You think that would be the issue.

If everything appears correct then call ESI tech support...it is free, they are good and that is what they are there for!
