Kind of Unique request:

I have a client that is interested in a new system. He has 2 phones and 2 lines(that in a rollover group) but the catch is he has 5 different companies but they all use the the same line. He wants to run an Auto-Attendant and list the companies in there as different options and he wants to know which option they pressed.

I know that i can send those AA digits to a department and name the department and it would display the name on the display but you can only be a member of 2 department correct?

any help is greatly appreciated!

Gary

I am headed out and can't look it up in the manual but i believe the limit is 2 for ACD Departments but i don't believe it applies to other types.

You can have up to 10 department groups as long as only 2 of them are ACD. There are 4 other types: sequential, all, UCD, and ring. I don't think you would have to log into 5 different groups at once anyways.

This is where VIP would be helpful because you can show all 3 lines of info (caller ID + department) in the screen POP on a call waiting.

Can anyone tell me why my ESI-600 PBX system loses the ability to dial out? There is a current threshold settings so what is recommended? The system will accept all incoming calls but will not dial out. This happens once a week.
