Hello,

Has anyone here had any luck on pulling data from the ESI ACD database that VIP writes to (it is a .cdb file)? We have the need to pull some simple data out (# of calls, # of abandons, etc) and are not sure what kind of database this is or (once we get into it) what the data definitions are. Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Paul

Do you have the ACD admin Software? If you do then you can get the reports you need. The other reports from the SMDR are pretty generic.

The "supervisor" software also offers you some advanced options as well.

You can get that info on the ACD reports in the esi programmer software.

Yes, we do have the VIP Supervisor (ACD Admin, whatever you want to call it) software, as well has the ESI programmer software, but we didn't want the canned reports. We were actually looking to pull the data into a SQL database and customize our own reports...which we did accomplish. If anyone else happens to be looking, .cdb is a 'compact database' that will open up just fine in MS Access. The data definitions are more or less apparent from the data. From then it was a piece of cake for our DBA to pull the data over to SQL and now we actually pull that data into SQL and can customize the reports.
