Good Afternoon,

Let me first state that my background is on Avaya, Nortel but not on ESI products. We have a customer with the ESI-S that has been installed for several years. There are few if any dealers in this market that work on this product, so the customer asked us to service this. We've moved phones around as needed etc. but no programming.

This customer would like to add Caller ID to the system. My question, is there much programming or any hardware requirements involved if any to enable this once it is activated by the carrier or should it be an automatic thing? If it's something minor we'd like to take care of it for them. If not I'll try to find someone more familiar with the system.

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks,
Greg

All you will need to do is turn it on in the ESI. Function 24

Don't forget to program a Caller ID Button on your phones to be able to see the log.

On the older S-Class it was a "Missed Call" key

Just an FYI, for caller-id to work on the ESI it has to be a standard ring. ESI does not support caller-id with a double cadence ring on the CO.
