We have a ESI-600 VoIP with the 60 button IP phones. We have been in the testing phase right now with 10 users in the IT dept. testing the phones. One user has experienced several calls where he describes the call as 'tinny'. I asked him to describe the word "tinny' and he said that there was a slight echo and a pinging sound. Has anyone had a similar experience?

I just put in a 100 all Ip Friday with all 60Ip phones, everything sounded great until we noticed echo (the far end sounds ok but I hear my own voice echoing back)on both the handset and speaker when making or receiving calls. Abused Tech Support for about 2 hours and still no solution. If any one has thoughts on this please let me know. Dial tone is all AT&T POTS Lines, with test set as well as analog phone lines are clear.

This is a known issue with the 60 button phones. We have had to load new system software and new firmware on all of the phones. It is always who you talk to in tech support.

What version of firmware is on your 60 IP phone? Our's are running V1.25.

Have ESI tech support reduce the gain on the handset mic to a value of 8192. We did this for our phone system and could notice the improvement.
