Hello:
I have read most of the posts and none of them seem to address this problem. The problem we are having is that when a call comes in to the VX2 and the caller selects an extension that is on an outside call, the call stays on hold or gets routed to the operator, usually just sits on hold. All of the settings on the G screen are as others have described as correct. I believe that the settings on the right side for disconnect, prefix and trnsfr are the settings in question.
Thank You,
Chuck

Do you have the "G" screen programmed for day and night?
Also do you have "G" screen progrmmed to forward busy intercom and CO calls?

The srtting for which greeting is heard is on the bottom right side of "G" screen. *1 *2 *3

Good Luck!!

Yes, the settings are the same for day and night. All ext. are set to forward busy intercom and CO calls. The system does work properly with intercom calls to a busy ext. I did not know that the *1, *2, *3 determined which greeting but I have tried changing all of them to *1 and it made no difference, CO calls to a busy extension get stuck.
Can you call me? I am willing to pay for support from someone that knows this system.
Thanks,
Chuck

Station programming screen A.Look at an extension number for the vx2 and extension ports and check the keys as to how they are programmed.Adirect trunk key is a key for a specific line.Like if you had 3 lines then you would have keys for lines 1,2 and 3 on the sets ie key codes 001,002,003 .Trunk keys are a key(s) that grab you an available line when dialling out and where incoming calls would appear.ie key code 300

Ext. numbers 3401-3408 are VX2
Phone type is set to SLI
Keys are programmed as follows
01=0300
02=0842
03=0841
04=3001
05=3002
06=3003
07=3004
08=3005
09=3006
10=3007
11=3008
12=3009
13=0840
14=0805
15=0844
16=0810
17=0843
18=0845
19=0810
20=0802
21=0803
22=0809

It appears that these were copied from ext. 3001 because all phones, even the M64 have all the same keys programmed the same way.
Thanks,
Chuck

The problem is lack of trunk group keys.You should have at least 2 300 subcode 100 keys per phone.And all those other keys should be 0000 Sub code 0000 on you vms.

I currently have 10 ext. with 6 CO lines and 8 ports on the VX2. How should the ext. keys for the users and the ext. keys for the VX2 ports be programmed?
Thanks,
Chuck

PS
On the Keys screen, how do you change the subcodes? and.... On the "G" screen, does the disconnect code, prefix, and transf need to have anything in those fields or are they supposed to be blank?
Thanks Again,
Chuck
