I have a problem with trunks locking up on adix-m or APX systems. The one common theme is the systems use analog sets. The versions are 7.1X and higher thru the 8.1X. Iwatsu tells to disable the short flash enable timer but people using off premise forward will then be affected. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do the analog sets you are using have Single Line Disconnect Enabled?

Sounds like you don't get a good disconnect from the dialtone provider. Try this: call into system from cell phone, answer on an adix phone via the speakerphone, hangup cell phone, wait and see if the call automatically hangs up your adix phone and returns the display to idle without you touching anything. If you end up hearing busy tone, "if you'd like to hang up" recording or call still shows in use then you need to check with the dial tone provider to ensure they are providing diconnect supervision and you may have to adjust adix parameters. Let us know so we can figure it out.. there are other possible causes, but this is where I would start.

We have had some problems with disconnect signals and Adix's with one particular CO. We put a buttset on a line and used the monitor function to listen for disconnect. It is easy to adjust.
I thought you said that your system was down...

This problem seems to only occur on systems with single line phones. The fix I use is to disable the short flash timer in class 4. The only problem with this is you cannot use off premise forward to a speed dial. Any other suggestions?

You are disabling 04.25.11 is assume, when you say that off prem forward is not usable do you mean the ability to answer a call on a single line and TRANSFER it to a offsite number that is programmed in speed dial or are you talking about the manual call forward to a speed dial? Trying to clarify so we can help. Thanks

It's the offsite number programmed in a speed dial bin that does not work.
