We recently added the Conf cards to our ECS. We are being told by our installer that the system is not capable of making a tone when someone joins or leaves the conference. I can hardly believe that. Is this true?

I'm sorry to inform you that the Tech is correct on this. You will not receive any type of tone when someone is added or leaves the call. On your display of your phone it will let you know what who is in the conference call.

Look in class 10.70 element 02 in the manual 5th addition enable for each phone. Hope this helps

You can set it up to have the system insert tones when someone joins a conference on the IX-CNFBX-1 via programming in class 28 (networking).
