First, I am not familiar with the Adix at all. A new customer called us today to come out and fix a jack so it was no problem but on the way out she pointed out a problem with one of the DSS buttons. When station 205 is on the phone, the DSS does not light Red. But when you press the DSS button it does call 205.
I don't know version but the phone that's having the DSS problem is the operator phone station 201 wich is a 12KTD display with a DSS box on the side.
The button has always worked with no problems until they hire a Temp up front so I'm thinking she must of pressed something.

First, verify that the button in question is programmed as a DSS button. At the attendant phone, idle, with the handset in the cradle press FEAT, #, 9 then the DSS button in question. The phone display will tell you how the button is programmed. It should say DSS 205. If it says something else, you'll need to program the button. Try ID'ing a few different buttons on the phone and console to see if the buttons match the phone/console label. If you come up with 'unassigned' all over the place, the line cords for the phone and console may have been switched.
You can unplug the DSS unit for a few seconds, then plug it back in just for the heck of it.
Make sure also that the phone everyone THINKS is ext 205 really IS ext205. If it's a display phone, with the handset in the cradle, press FEAT, 99 and the display will show you the assigned ext number. If it's not a display phone, just call the attendant phone and check the display at ext 201.
I suppose it's possible the LED under the button has gone bad, but it's pretty unlikely.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

Thanks for the info. I suppose it's possible the LED under the button has gone bad, but it's pretty unlikely. Thats exactly what I told the customer as one of the reasons it might not be working, just to buy me some time of course.

Stopped by there today and did as you suggested "FEAT # 9" and sure enough the button is programmed correctly. I should say that this button works correctly showing a message by flashing green and it will call ext 205 if pressed. It just doesnt show red when that station is off hook.
I did verify that the station is 205. I guess the next thing to try is reprogramming an unused button as 205. I do have the Programming manual and its a little confusing as to what Class I need to be in. The customer has the Attendant Guide, is the DSS button programming in there or do I have to go into System Programming and use I believe its in Class 15.01? Whats the best way to go about this?

You can also try programming the button assigned to 205 now to a DSS for a station you already know is working on that phone to insure that the light is not in fact bad. If the DSS for ext. 203 works on key 4, but not on key 5 (for example), you might have the unlikely scenario of a bad red led.

To program the button, is that Class 15.01?
