I just upgraded my ECS to 4.01 and upgraded the MBU to 1.19. I just config'ed a couple of IP-12KT's but now want to set them up for use outside of my network. Does anyone know which ports exactly I need to open on the firewall? The manual shows 6004-6999 , but I'm not sure if they are saying all of these or just one. The range is pretty big.

The port ranges you need to use depend on the location of the MBU in the switch, whether it's MBU1, 2 or other.
The manual has a table listing the ranges for each MBU location.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

They want you to open the whole range. I think slot one is 6004~6194. Most Firewalls allow for a range...6004~6999 is Recommended. however, I have heard of a router that needed individule rules for each UDP port. Don't forget you need to open some TCP ports too.
