Hi,
I am now in an office with an Executone Medley 64 phone system and I had to set up 3 new extensions with voice mail. 2 of them set up with no problems but the 3rd will not allow anyone calling into the mail number toswitch into the voice mail box if no one picks up the phone. The personnal greeting is on and set, I tried swapping telephone sets, I double checked all of the other settings against the extensions that do work but nothing has changed the fact that this person will not have a functional voice mail box on her extension. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

log into system admin.
press 3, fo station programming.
press 1, extension definition and routing.
enter station number then #.

go through prompts, and then setup the cal forwatrd day and night settings.

OK I tried that again and it still did not change the fact that when someone rings in on that particular extension it just continues to ring and never goes to voice mail. I did notice that the red light next to the name for this extension is on which makes me wonder if the system thinks someone is on the line? Everything else I have checked and triple checked matches up with all of the other extensions that work with no problems. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Are you trying to get a line that is ringing in to be answered by Auto Attendent or a mailbox?


Log into system
press 2 (CO line programming)
Press 1 (line Programming)
Prees line/lines you want to program
Press # to goto next step

change line to be answered by ID1 for Auto Att. or MB for mailbox att the number of rings prefered by you.

OK, I've tried that to with no success. When I go to the line programming every light lights up except for the one that is having the voice mail problems. It almost looks like that extension has a permanent DND feature turned on and will not allow anyone to ring thru. She can use her phone for outgoing messages.
I just something else - from a different extension I just tried to call the problem extension and it rang thru to someone else's number internally. If I call in from outside and dial her extension it just continues to ring.

Press the lines that you want to program alike.

They are flashing to show you which lines are available on system.

It will tell you what to do through each step.

That may be part of the problem. The light that corresponds to that extension does not light up or flash when I am trying to program them. If I am out of admin mode (regular use) the light for that extension is on constantly.
In addition, I tried forwarding the mailbox to her extension and she can now get a voice message BUT her phone does not ring. W=If sou call her extension a message comes on saying "that phone is busy" and you get put right into voice mail. She can use the phone for outgoing calls with no problem.
She said yesterday she may have done something to the programming but she didn't know what she did to cause these problems.
Any other ideas?

The DND is the right soft key.

If it says feature is not available from that extension it is turned off.

May need to goto station attributes and turn on.

Also check the left soft key to see if phone is forwarded.
