I have a customer with no administrator passwords for their Iwatsu ADIX VM (4VML) and need to reset the VM to system defaults. The system is in the Atlanta area and I would like to get a tech with the VM software to reset everything and help with setting up mailboxes for the office. The requirement is immediate, for some reason the system announcement reverted to an old recording from the systems previous owner so the recording is very confusing for their end users and neeeds to be updated ASAP. Any suggestions for a short term fix would be welcome.
Thanks,
David

The auto attendant greetings reside in mailbox 900 for normal hours and box 905 for after hours usually. Call into the system at a time when the auto attendant is answering calls, press the pound sign when it starts playing the greeting, and enter 900 or 905 for a mailbox number to see if it's password protected or not.
If it isn't, it behaves just like a user's mailbox as far as recording greetings and such goes. If you want to make call routing/options changes, you'll need a tech on-site to do the programming for you.
If passwords are requested, you'll need to determine if any existing mailboxes have been given admin rights. The quickest way to determine this is to have everyone go into their mailbox and press option 4. If they have admin rights assigned, they'll know right away they'll be able to reset the password for the greeting mailboxes.
As far as a complete default, it depends on the actual release number of the voice mail whether a default is possible or not
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

You might try dialing the access code to VM, when it answers press #. Dial mailbox 201. If the tutorial starts - go through it. Mailbox 201 is the default admin mailbox. If your extension range is something other than 2xx it may be possible to access it. Otherwise, you'll need the VM Editor to default it
