on my ids 128, the oprtatot terminal
only has a blinking cursor at top left,
have restarted system, and swapped terminals,
same problem.

If you hit escape do you get anything?Like a disclaimer screen asking for a password?
First place to check would be the B screen make sure the ports are installed and the O screen on the Bscreen for the operator setup.
