I presently have a full T1 from Sprint, that is working correctly, with channels 1-8 set for ANI/DNIS and the remaining channels set for T-1 ground start. I have an IX-T1RCV card in with no adapter boards. I am attempting to switch carriers to Qwest and when I move from Sprints smartjack to Qwests smartjack, Qwest sees channels 1-8 as busy on my end. I can access the other channels and call out fine. I know the programming of the Adix box, but I am not that up on T1 installation, can someone give me some pointers of what would cause this and possible fixes?

By 'adapter boards' do you mean the RCVR card?
Could possibly be a provisioning issue if nothing else has changed.
Is the new T-1 provisioned exactly the same way the old one was? Does the new carrier have all channels provisioned the same way, or are they provisioned differently for channels 1 thru 8?
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

By adapters I was talking of the IX-8ercv cards that can be added to the IX-T1RCV card.
I sent qwest what I had from Sprint with their setup and I told them that the Adix is configured with Polarity reversal; Disconnect signal detection; Wink mode. for the ANI/DNIS trunks 01.03 1-4-3 and 01.04 1-1-3
Qwest is using two trunks; one set of 12 channels for incoming and one set of 12 channels for outgoing.

You'll have to be sure your Class 1 settings for your T1 ports match the circuits provisioning in terms of incoming DID and outgoing ground start trunks, specifically trunks/channels 9 thru 12. There seems to be a provisioning disagreement with these channels. Try disabling the Polarity reversal and using disconnect detection only. You may also have to change from WINK to IMMEDIATE mode depending on the carrier.
The IX-T1RCVR card has only 8 DTMF receivers on board, to handle incoming DTMF signaling on channels 1 thru 8. For channels 9 - 12 (and up to 16) you'll need an 8ERCV daughterboard. This won't be an issue if you never have more than 8 inbound calls at a time, but will cause routing problems if an inbound call hits channel 9- I'm not sure, but calls will probably default to the attendant in this case.

It looks like the problem is on Qwest side I had someone else look at the setup and now Qwest says that they can run wink on the first 8 for incoming and ground start on the rest of the lines for outgoing. I hope this is not a problem once the setup is complete. Thanks
