I have a customer who's VM died. Got a replacement but did not have any of the programming saved from the old drive. It is an Adix APS 7.1 soon to be upgraded to an ECS. We replaced the hard drive with the flash drive, (4vml card with a 4evmc). How they have it now the phones ring the 5 attendants through ringing stations. If no one answers it is programmed Delayed ring to hunt group 47. From there the caller hears the message which is saying everyone is busy please hold and someone will be with you shortly. Then it is suppose to go to the UCD group 700 which has the attendants in it. But what happens is the VM says "please wait while I try that extension" then it just hangs up. What am I missing? I created a mailbox for 700 thinking that was my problem but it still does the same thing. Any suggestions? Also is there anyway to take off "please wait while I try that extension"?

Check the settings for your Off Hook Menu (be it 900 or 905). By default, the 'No Action' parameter is set to disconnect. Change that to 'Transfer' to 'extension' and use the access code for your UCD group as the extension number.

Alternately, you can list the UCD group access as the default Operator in Off Hook Programming, and set your menu defaults to transfer to the Operator.

In Off Hook Menu, I have the time 8am to 5pm operator: 700 Menu: 900. The Default line I changed to operator: 700 Menu: 900.

For the actual Menu 900 I have no options except for the "No Action" it is set to Transfer, Blind, and then 700. I did not get to try it before I left the site. I think I'm just making this harder on myself then it should be. Is this the right thinking? I'm going back there tomorrow to upgrade them to an ECS so I will be looking at the VM again.

If you have specified your UCD group as the Operator, you can set the menu as Transfer, Blind, Operator and achieve the same thing. The default menu setting for pressing zero accomplishes the same thing.

The only thing left to check is calling the UCD group from a KT to be sure it's seen as a valid access number.

Doubledown
In the VMI Editor - select System Integration (hammer and screwdriver icon)
Make sure the extension range = 100 - 999
Make sure the mailbox range = 100 - 999
(assuning your extension range is 3-digits)

Also - bear in mind that access to UCD groups requires a trunk call. You can't dial 700 from ICM and have it process correctly.
