having an issue with ccs no ring key, user at ext 101 has another extension on his desk 102, wanted that when someone ICM or calls 101 he should be able to answer the call on 102 o i set a ccs no ring key one of the buttons on 102 but it only acts as a dss button instead of coverage key

You may have to reset the system to make a newly assigned call coverage key work.

With no call ringing in to the covered station, a call coverage button is supposed to act like a DSS key. When a call is ringing at the covered station, the covering station has to go off-hook, then press the CCV button to pick up the call. If you press the button first, it will act like a DSS also.

I think not, unless the covering station actually answers the call.

I'll try to test to be sure, but my first impression would be no.

You can put a silence key on it and make it a ringing station to see caller ID info.

that's a good idea, will that work for another extension not an incoming call, the point is to see who is calling extension 101, internal extension or outside caller
