This site doesn't look like much but I bought the e-learning package for my technicians and it was well worth the money. Check it out. Not any info on things like VPN or hardware specifics, such as routers. Just good basic info for anyone starting from the bottom.

If you buy it, come back here and give feedback. I'm easily impressed.

I also got several copies of this eLearn for my team. Very educational indeed. They also seem to provide answers to follow up questions about advanced topics.

My recommendation for SIP training is to get yourself a couple of SIP phones, an ATA like a Sipura SPA-3000, and a copy of Asterisk and play with it. I have learned a lot using the [email protected] package which is free. You need a Pentium 266 or so PC (or faster) with a modest hard drive. You will wipe whatever is on that drive and learn a little bit of Linux or Unix in the process. There is a lot of good info (and a lot of noise, too) at www.voip-info.org

Too much of the commercial SIP training is very tightly focused on selling you some company's implementation, and that might be fine for them but you want to learn more about packet switched telephony in general, not just how to provision some guy's box.

Did you buy the complete package or which parts?

Thanks, Bunnie

I got the complete package. I agree. It was well worth the money. I was surprised by the depth level and by the amount of material. I sent them a couple of follow up questions. Got good answers. They seemed hesitant though to make an explicit recommendation on testing/call-flow-log tools, but instead sent me a whole list.

I took package #3. Was very useful. It was nice also chating with their SIP celebrities via the Q&A service.
