Have used Polycom phones with no problems. Now I mention they will be used with Asterix and I get a firm "warranty will be cancelled" warning. Asterix is working great but looking for competitive handsets and attendant consoles which will still be warrantied by the manufacturer. Saying we wil warranty the handsets is a dead issue. Clients want "rip cord" option if we go belly up and they need to install Call Manager or something else. In general all the big handset providers are discouraging any Asterix use.

How have you gotten around this problem?

Check out the Epygi box. It is agnostic when it comes to phones and does support the Polycom'sas well as othe types of phones without voiding the warranty. It's not a fix, but it provides you with choices.
