I want to set up some Nortel equipment in 2 locations across town. The remote location will have 5 IP phones networked back to main site over PtP T1. The trunks in main site will be digital handoff but not PRI. They also will be POTS in remote location for fax machine and such. My question, is there a device (or some other method) I can put on remote network that will intercept E911 calls placed from IP phones and route them over the POTS in remote location and not the trunks in the main site

I believe Quintum's VoIP gateway can handle this. We have not used but remember something about that in one of thier roadshows.

MCK extenders for nortel have a pots input on the remote box, any 911 from those phones routed to the local pots.
