I am having issues with dialing only long distance on the soundstation. I can dial a 7 digit local call. I can dial a toll free 11 digit call, but I have a long distance code required on all long distance calls. I do not get a tone back. If I program a preprogrammed speed dial number to dial the long distance number with a code attached it works. Has anyone run into this issue?

What system is your IP phone on? Also, are you using SIP trunks, regular copper lines, or T-1/PRI, and who is your carrier?

It is attached to a Tadiran via SIP. No SIP trunks. It has a traditional PRI. Carrier is Verizon.

I should have said that it is attached via SIP terminal to the Tadiran.

Yah, I had that issue with the 4000, I used it with SIP trunks setup as a off system extension. It dialed funky, I think you have to dial the number and then hit the dial button, if you went off hook then dial the number it wouldn't work.

I had mine connected to a ShoreTel system, just analog trunks to the outside, but SIP trunk within the system and the phone's extension had to be setup as a off premise extension.

Yes I understand that and I can dial a local number and a toll free number but when I dial a long distance number they have to dial an account code and I do not receive a tone to dial the code therefore it will not go out.

What happens if you just dial the account code after about 2 seconds and do not wait for a tone? If one uses the speed dial do you hear the account code tone?

It is like it does not accept any digits after you dial. The speed dial is programmed with a 1 second pause then dials the LD code.
