I am primarly an inside wiring and PBX service tech, so forgive me for not knowing.

I have about a 20ft span between 2 builds I need a 25 Pair cable ran between about 12-15 ft off the ground. What Parts, should I be asking for to connect from the messenger (support wire) to the Building. I haven't had any luck talking to my suppliers.

Thank You in advance,

Dustin

Call Clifford of Vermont and tell them what size messenger you have and they should be able to get you the attacments you need.

Clifford is definitely a good choice for a project of this nature. Just tell them you need some figure 8 cable. It comes with a 1/4" support strand built-into the jacket. For the terminations, ask them for 1/4" strandvises. You will also need some form of eye bolt in the wall at either end.

Sorry I read it as you already had the cable. Still the same place for everything.

I know they say you don't have to do this anymore with the newer cables, but I always put several layers of tape where I strip the messenger from the cable.

And don't forget the building entrance protectors for each end.

Any vehicle traffic between these two buildings? If so 12-15' isn't high enough.

I remember going over some railway tracks between two buildings the hight minimum needed to be 25 ft..

If there are no rail way tracks the hight minimum is 15ft. With any of these projeccts get it as high as you can to be on the safe side.
