I've been googling this and I see lots of advice that seems to apply to the y2k compliant firmware, but this company never bought that. Anybody know how to do it? (operator phone, on hook, 288 and 4 digits is what DOESN'T work.

It seems to be special, 'cause it doesn't blow up right away, but it only accepts 288 and 3 digits...

You can only set the time from the operator if they have the correct software to do this. The first versions required the Time download onto the cpu board.I'm not sure if it came "standard" on later software versions. If it doesn't have this capability, then you need to connect to the system remotely or or with a pc or operator screen.

Thanks - I've managed to connect, via transfer to 99, and set the time. We've also found that we had four slots open for new extensions as well as 4 possible additional trunk lines. Going well so far.

FYI - I believe the magic code from operator station is 28 + HHMM (not 288).

mforrence is correct; use military time format. Also, in the 84 this capability was introduced in 7.0 software, in June 1996.
