I was recommended to post my question here:
What does TXNU mean in a circuit ID?
Hope you can help me out!
Thanks,
Jeff

In the lingo of our local carrier here (Verizon), I believe that would denote a 2-watt analog line.

Service Modifier Codes:

Analog:
2w Analog TXNU
2w ISDN-North only TXSU
2w ISDN-South only DYVU
4w Analog-North only TYNU

Digital:
2w ADSL ARDU
2w SDSL HMXU
2w IDSL HMXU
2w DDL HMXU
2w HDSL AQDU
4w HDSL AQDU
2w ISDN w/Electronics DYVU

Line Share:
ADSL SWXX

The numerbers in front of the circuit ID indicate location. The numbers in the secondary NCI indicate number of wires. 02, 04 or 06.

On your specific question to TXNU ckt ID only thing I've found so far is that it's a 2 wire loop, not coming up with the circuit breakdown yet.

Is a 2 wire loop just a POTS line like in a residence?

Depends, could be or it could be a dry loop. Hopefully our mod for this Category can answer your questions.

I asked on another forum, found that it was a circuit for DSL before DSL was shared on one line.

Dear Mr. Moss,
Re: TXNU Usoc
I'm the moderator for this site and have to apologize that I missed out on your email as I was traveling all week with no internet access either at customer site during the day or in my hotel. I have some info for you from the tariff of SBC. This tariff explains the 2 line and 4 line circuit for you. When you come upon a usoc you can't figure out this is the best forum as there are so many knowledgeable people here to help. Here is a download on the tariff of the usoc you were interested in. Type this address in completely and download the info. www.sbc.com/Large-Files/MI-LD/Appendix_ H_-_CLECAM_Accessible_Letters/Tab_0028/CLECAM02-126.doc
Hope to hear from you again,
